On a Greek island, Sophie secretly invites the three men who might be her father—Sam, Bill, and Harry—to her wedding. Donna, her mom, is shocked to see them and relives old memories with her friends Tanya and Rosie. During the bachelorette party, each man becomes convinced he might be Sophie's dad. Sophie grows overwhelmed as all three men believe they will walk her down the aisle.
Sophie has a nightmare and fights with Donna about the wedding. Donna reflects on the past with Sam and Harry. Sophie finally admits to Sky that she invited the men to find her father, and he is upset. As the wedding approaches, Donna helps Sophie get ready, and Sophie asks Donna to walk her down the aisle. At the ceremony, Donna reveals Sophie's father is present—but none of the men knows who it is. The men happily agree to share the role. Sophie and Sky decide not to marry yet and travel instead. Sam proposes to Donna, and they get married. The story ends with Sophie and Sky sailing off on a new adventure.
